Prior to starting my private practice, I spent more than five years as Vice President and General Counsel to an international consumer products corporation. In that role, I was responsible for all of the corporation’s legal matters. In addition to managing and growing their intellectual property portfolio, I developed corporate policies, managed litigation and other legal spend, drafted and negotiated vendor and sales agreements, implemented government contracting, and guided the human resources department, all while decreasing legal costs significantly through a value-based approach.
Prior to my corporate role, I worked at a leading intellectual property boutique firm for a number of years, providing intellectual property prosecution, licensing, analysis and litigation services to a broad spectrum of clients ranging from individuals to Fortune 100 corporations, and co-founded a healthcare-related business along the way.
I earned my JD from the University of Houston’s highly-ranked Intellectual Property Law program, where I attended as a Dean’s Scholar. I am licensed in Texas, and registered as a patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
I serve clients all over the country, and around the world. In my spare time, I enjoy fishing and traveling, and hanging out with my awesome wife, Vivian and our toddler son, Samy. Together we all enjoy chasing after our rambunctious Vizsla, Moby.
